It establishes &#8220;various rules to ensure adequate protection of domestic animals and some wild animals.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new legislation requires the owner or person having custody of an animal to ensure that it receives &#8220;its own biological needs care.&#8221; It also provides for the prohibition of train an animal to fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People who violate these provisions are liable to prison terms of up to 18 months for repeat offenders. Quebec has long dunce figure for animal welfare.
