It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Jean-Marie Brasseur on April 14, 2018.

He founded PLB International in 1969, which was originally dedicated to the production of farm animal feed. Thanks to his great instinct and his visionary qualities, he quickly grasped the opportunity to push forward the company’s vocation. Thus PLB International becomes the first cat and dog foods manufacturer in Quebec.

His perseverance, tenacity and self-confidence have made him an excellent entrepreneur and business leader. Inspired by his sense of innovation, the current company continues his ambitious work and is now distributed in more than 35 countries around the world. Mr. Brasseur's determination has greatly contributed to making PLB International what it is today.

The job creation and the support to many regional families have always represented a source of great pride for our founder. The PLB family, and particularly the 2nd and 3rd generation members of the Brasseur family, have lost in Mr. Jean-Marie Brasseur, a man who inspired them greatly.

In his honor, we lowered the PLB International flag to half-staff at the head office.
