PLB is now FSSC 22000 certified!

The FSSC 22000 certification process was rigorous and demanding, involving an in-depth assessment of PLB International’s food safety management systems. The company had to demonstrate its ability to identify, assess and control food safety risks, as well as its implementation of effective preventive measures,” says Julie Cormier, Quality and Regulatory Affairs Director.

Specific controls covered by FSSC 22000 certification

FSSC 22000 certification is based on basic Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs. It also requires the implementation of additional controls to prevent contamination of food products by biological, chemical and physical hazards.
